Welcome To My Blogsite!

I'm Annie Pennington, a 20-something creative soul who is married to a treasure of a man and is the mommy to two priceless little girls. I adore capturing the beauty in this world. Love to capture everything from the beautiful details in the big stuff to the beautiful details in the normal everyday little stuff. This blog follows both my personal and professional life, it's just a little of this, a little of that, informal and casual, just like me. :) I hope by visiting this site you get a peek into not only the kind of photographer I am, but also the kind of girl I am. I'm a laugher, a lover of chocolate & coffee, an ouchie kisser, a lip gloss addict, a knuckle popper, a dreamer, a former thespian, a singer (although sometimes not very good)...oh and of course I also absolutely love to take pictures! Cheesy Smile

Posted on August 15, 2008

Kate has become quite an expert on cheesin’ it up for the camera. I bring it out and she happily shows her pearly whites and expresses the most fake, yet completely adorable smile. The thing I love most about it is that it highlights her little extra dimple that is just to the right of her chin. I call that dimple her “bonus surprise dimple” I didn’t even KNOW she had it until she was about 4 months old and she happened to make her very first classic cheesy smile for me. I was so excited about it!! I’m a HUGE dimple fan, can you tell??? I love that I get to capture that precious dimple all the time now!
The one little thing about her classic cheesy smile is that it doesn’t last forever. I imagine this is maybe what goes on in her mind when she sees me break out my camera, “Oh I see mom has the camera! Okay, time to perform! Tilt head, look right at the camera, say “CHEESE!” Okay wait…she took the photo…why is she still clicking away? Well I guess I need to keep this smile up, but gosh it’s getting old. I’d really like her to stop so I can get back to playing”. So while it’s a precious smile and I COMPLETELY appreciate her hamming it up, I do have to be QUICK, cause the smile’s lifespan is very short. This is the first time I caught a series of photos that captures the fading smile SOOO well. It was dropping literally by the second. I even looked up the camera data and recorded the time differences between these three photos…check out the time differences! Thankful for this lightening quick camera I have! (And I’ll go ahead and give props once again to David for surprising me with it!)
