Welcome To My Blogsite!

I'm Annie Pennington, a 20-something creative soul who is married to a treasure of a man and is the mommy to two priceless little girls. I adore capturing the beauty in this world. Love to capture everything from the beautiful details in the big stuff to the beautiful details in the normal everyday little stuff. This blog follows both my personal and professional life, it's just a little of this, a little of that, informal and casual, just like me. :) I hope by visiting this site you get a peek into not only the kind of photographer I am, but also the kind of girl I am. I'm a laugher, a lover of chocolate & coffee, an ouchie kisser, a lip gloss addict, a knuckle popper, a dreamer, a former thespian, a singer (although sometimes not very good)...oh and of course I also absolutely love to take pictures! 4 Years Ago

Posted on May 2, 2008

4 years ago today David and I were enjoying our first day as a married couple. We had the wedding the day prior, we’d sent the out of town family on their way and I remember us just sitting in the middle of the livingroom, among a mountain of wedding gifts just looking at each other like…”Wow, yesterday was a BIG DAY! And gosh I love you!” I don’t really remember all that much from the wedding day, I remember fixing my hair and doing my makeup, I remember walking down the aisle with my sweet Daddy, I remember straightening David’s tie during the ceremony and the audiance chuckling at me as I did it, I faintly remember the reception…and honestly that’s about it. I don’t remember the vows, I don’t remember the kiss, I don’t remember our first dance, even though I’d thought ALLL those detals over like crazy before hand!! I just remember being stressed out and wondering if with all my endless planning, maybe I’d overlooked something. Sigh. I hate that. I hate that my own wedding is pretty much a blur. I’m SOOOO thankful for a DVD of the ceremony and endless photos to help jog my memory. On the other hand I’m glad though. I’m glad that what I remember most about us getting married, was the day after, the Sunday late afternoon with us snuggled up on the floor together leasurly opening our gifts, eating the left over yummy wedding cake and just enjoying the moment that we’d been waiting for what felt like forever for… to finally be husband and wife, I just remember feeling so perfectly blissful to finally be his. LOVED it! So all this to say…when Kate is engaged, we’re hiring her a wedding coordinator! LOL! I want her to remember more of her big day and focus on her groom and how awesome he’ll be!

In closing, Love you David. Loved all 4 years and one day of being your bride. Love you, love you, love you.
