Welcome To My Blogsite!

I'm Annie Pennington, a 20-something creative soul who is married to a treasure of a man and is the mommy to two priceless little girls. I adore capturing the beauty in this world. Love to capture everything from the beautiful details in the big stuff to the beautiful details in the normal everyday little stuff. This blog follows both my personal and professional life, it's just a little of this, a little of that, informal and casual, just like me. :) I hope by visiting this site you get a peek into not only the kind of photographer I am, but also the kind of girl I am. I'm a laugher, a lover of chocolate & coffee, an ouchie kisser, a lip gloss addict, a knuckle popper, a dreamer, a former thespian, a singer (although sometimes not very good)...oh and of course I also absolutely love to take pictures! Thankful

Posted on April 6, 2008

I’m feeling extra thankful for life today. For my hubby, my sweet little girl, for our health and happiness together, for our strong bond with each other. Love having them in my life. Love experiencing them loving each other. Just so thankful!

It’s rather funny timing how thankful I am for my girl when less than 24 hours ago she threw the fit of the century. LOL! We were on our way to the movies to see Horton Hears a Who and she was holding this folded instructions sheet from some thing we bought…I don’t even remember what the instructions were even from, but David said he didn’t need them and she found it interesting to she wanted to take it with us, just these thick sheets of folded instructions. No biggie. Until she accidently tore them that is…and she completely flipped out. Screaming to the absolute top of her lungs, arching her back violently attempting to get out of her carseat, just yelling and screaming, gigantic tears streaming down her face. So needless to say we didn’t go to the movies, just turned around and came home. It was frusterating, just cause I honestly was looking forward to seeing the movie and I was also frusterated because nothing I did seemed to make the fit stop…it just had to run it’s course (which is another thing I’m learning, once the fit starts, just ignore and walk away if possible). So we all came back home in rather grumpy moods. Then wouldn’t you know we all had a lovely evening. We had dinner together, complete with Kate’s baby doll also eating with us and praying with us, which was a new experience for us, totally fun to see Kate interact with her and continually give her bites of food. After dinner we just hung out, did some crafts, played some games and just enjoyed the simple luxury of togetherness. Then we decided to watch Shrek and I took this beautiful photo. I LOVE this picture. Not because it’s photographically perfect, cause it’s not by any means, but it’s David and Kate TOGETHER that gets me. Them ineracting and loving each other and just being together. I love how Kate had perched her feet up on David’s leg, now the light coming in from the window shines on her face so beautifully, how he looks so happy and content to spend time with his girl. I so love it!

Then I love this one cause of the absolute adoration on her face. This photo really sums up exactly how she feels about her Daddy.

CHEERS!
