First Post

Well I’ve done it. I’ve jumped on the blogging bandwagon. Gonna try my hardest to keep this up to date and post often with stuff that is going on in our lives, our little trips around Europe, my latest scrapping buys, my latest layouts, my latest photos etc., etc.

So for starters my first post is really special. It’s all about my husband and how priceless he is. Now I’ve always gone on and on about him because I’m totally in love with him and he is truly a priceless gift, but occationally he goes the extra mile and really sweeps me off my feet all over again. Yesterday was just such an occation. I asked him to pick up a few groceries on his way home from work, so it got later and later in the evening and still no David, so I was starting to worry and think that he probably got tied up at work. So finally he shows up and he brings in a brown paper grocery bag. Usually there are more bags and usually they are the white plastic ones, but I was too stressed with dinner and a cranky Kate to really question him about it. I was in a crummy mood and just wanted to get dinner over with. So I knew the groceries I asked him to pick up didn’t need refrigerated so I picked up the top ingredient that I needed that night with dinner and set the sack aside to deal with Kate, finish dinner, wanted to chat with David, etc. Well he kept making it clear I needed to empty the bag and kept saying, “I’ll just change clothes over here, you need to put away the groceries” and I was thinking, “Geez….what is the big deal with the CANNED goods??” Why does it need to happen NOW!? So I kept putting it off then finally he brought it to me, set it at my feet and said, “I REALLY think these groceries need to be put away” so I grugingly began unloading them and then…at the bottom of the grocery bag I see the most beautiful box in the world – a box to my BRAND NEW DSLR CAMERA!!! He went out and bought it for me JUST BECAUSE! We talked about waiting until my birthday or Christmas but he was precious enough to give it to me now. So I’m anxiously waiting for the sun to come up so I can go practice taking some pictures!!

Well that’s my first official post. I feel good about it! Now I just gotta figure out how to make a pretty header….Hmmmm…
